Definition: A win or a victory.
Example: “Take your wins where you can. It’s a W for me."
Boujee
Definition: Extravagant or fancy.
Example: “She’s not as boujee as she thinks she is.”
Finna
Definition: Shortened version of “Going to.”
Example: "I'm finna ghost this chick. ”
Cap
Definition: To lie. Similarly, “no cap,” means “no lie” or “seriously.”
Example: “That movie sucked, no cap.”
Cheugy
Definition: Out of date.
Example: “Skinny jeans are so cheugy."
It’s giving
Definition: To describe the vibes, usually in comparison to something similar.
Example: “It's giving Boomer vibes.”
L
Definition: A loss.
Example: "I took an L on that presentation, no cap."
Drip
Definition: Swag, but make it Gen Z.
Example: “My dude has major drip, those sneakers were sick.”
Sheesh
Definition: An expression to hype someone or something up. Used positively.
Example: "Sheesh, you look great in that dress."
Catch these hands
Definition: To start a fight.
Example: "If he keeps talking shit, he's going to catch these hands."
Bussin'
Definition: Delicious or to describe something you enjoy.
Example: "This burger is bussin', bro."
Sus
Definition: Shady or sketchy. Short for "suspicious.”
Example: “She says she lives in Dasma. It’s a little sus.”
Let him cook
Definition: An expression of approval.
Example: “He’s doing good right now. Let him cook."
Mid
Definition: Short for mediocre.
Example: “That concert was mid.”
Rizz
Definition: Short for charisma.
Example: “She had major rizz. He was finna melt on the spot.”
Pop off
Definition: To explode in anger.
Example: “He needs therapy. You can’t just pop off like that.”
Hits different
Definition: Impact you deeply.
Example: “That song just hits different.”
Main character
Definition: Self-centered or self-care focused. Can be used negatively or positively.
Example: “I’m in my main character era.”
Snatched
Definition: Fierce or on point.
Example: “His contour was snatched.”
Bet
Definition: Game or cool.
Example: “You wanna head out?” “Bet.”
Understood the assignment
Definition: Read the room correctly or nailed something.
Example: “Did you see Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer? He understood the assignment.”
Say less
Definition: Another way to say “I get it.”
Example: “Can you get this done?” “Say less.”
Slaps
Definition: Amazing or excellent.
Example: “This album really slaps.”
