A 'Crazed Fan' Drop-Kicked Arnold Schwarzenegger

While attending an event in South Africa Saturday, action star Arnold Schwarzenegger was drop-kicked in the back by a man described by event organizers as a “crazed fan.”
The former California Governor was in Johannesburg attending the Arnold Classic Africa, a bodybuilding and fitness festival named in his honor. Schwarzenegger was with fans when his attacker jumped at him, kicking the 71-year-old star squarely in the back.
“The incident happened while Mr. Schwarzenegger was taking a Snapchat video of a gymnastics competition, when an unknown person breached security and proceeded to kick him in the back, in full view of everyone who was both competing and watching,” wrote Arnold Classic Africa organizers on Twitter. The statement described the attacker as “known to the police for orchestrating similar incidents in the past.”
“Mr. Schwarzenegger is fine and still in good spirits,” event organizer Wayne Price said in the statement. “He still carried on with the activities as planned and is fully taking this in his stride."
Video of the attack shows that the champion bodybuilder and Terminator star wasn’t even knocked off his feet. Instead, he reacted to getting drop-kicked in the back by taking just a few steps forward. Schwarzenegger later wrote on Twitter that he didn't even realize he'd been kicked when he felt the impact.
"Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot,” he tweeted. "I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat."
