Dream, Morpheus, The Sandman—he goes by many names, but DC fans will remember him as the lord of all dreams and nightmares. And he’s finally being adapted to the big screen by Netflix in its upcoming 10-episode series The Sandman. On August 5, fans of the cult favorite comics will get to see Tom Sturridge don the Dream’s Helm and clean up the chaos left behind during his 100-year imprisonment.

It’s taken 30 years to get The Sandman made, despite all efforts from author Neil Gaiman and all his fans. Readers first met Dream in 1989, but new viewers might not have gotten a chance to get their hands on the crisp first issues of the comic. Fast forward to 2022, and all 11 volumes of the 30th-anniversary edition are available to read on Kindle.

The best part? You can read over half of the collection for only $9.99 (or P562). Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes, Sandman Vol. 2: The Doll’s House, Sandman Vol. 4: Season of Mists, Sandman Vol 6: Fables & Reflections, and Sandman Vol. 8: World’s End are all available on Kindle Unlimited if you subscribe, even for just a month. Better yet, if you’ve never downloaded Kindle Unlimited before, you can get the first month free.

So far, only half of the collection is on Kindle Unlimited. The rest are not, meaning you’ll need to purchase them individually to read them. Regardless, you can follow The Sandman even if you can’t read all of them in order.

The Sandman's 30th-anniversary issues are best read on your phones or tablets via the Kindle app.

Kindle Unlimited is available on the Kindle App, which you can download on Android or iOS. Once you’ve installed and registered for Kindle, subscribe to Kindle Unlimited and get access to the library’s wide range of books and comics (without additional fees). Consider it the Netflix of books.

Whether you’re an old fan looking to revive your love and memory of The Sandman, or a new reader excited for the upcoming show, The Sandman graphic novels won’t disappoint. Catch up on the dark adventures of The Sandman here.

Meanwhile, get ready for the series to drop on August 5, only on Netflix.
