Everything You Need to Know About the Backstreet Boys Tour in Manila
Remember your college girlfriend’s obsession with the Backstreet Boys? To impress her, you had to have knowledge of the lyrics to “I Want it That Way” and “Quit Playing Games With My Heart,” which was not hard to accomplish, because they were the most requested songs on the radio back then.
You have to admit, of course, that while your choice of songs on your mixtape veer toward Sugar Ray and Naughty By Nature, BSB songs tend to get stuck in your head. You do find yourself secretly bouncing and bopping along to “As Long As You Love Me” (complete with shoulder movements) in the privacy of your room (Why not? Your hair was in a Nick Carter bob anyway). Plus, the girls in that music video were hot, so you subconsciously memorized all those moves.
Well, Backstreet’s Back, all right, and they are headed for Manila this October. It’s time to bring out that inner boyband member in you to catch the nostalgia that is connected to your teen years. It will also give you so many pogi points if you bring your still-smitten Significant Other to their concert and meet-and-greet session.
MMI Live and Live Nation are bringing the Backstreet Boys DNA World Tour to Manila on October 28, 2019 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The DNA World Tour, which will begin on May 2019 in Portugal, is Backstreet Boys’ biggest arena tour in 18 years as they will be performing all over Europe, North America, and Asia.
The tour follows the release of their latest album DNA, the group’s 10th studio album that features songs written by Lauv (Charli XCX), Andy Grammer, Stuart Crichton (DNCE), and Mike Sabbath (J Balvin). DNA was released in January this year by RCA Records and debuted at number one on the Billboard album chart.
Tickets for the DNA World Tour in Manila will go on sale starting April 28, Sunday at 10:00 am via mmilive.com. BSB Fan Club members will have access to pre-sale tickets and can upgrade to meet and greet tickets on April 26 to 27 at backstreetboys.com, as well.
