Kamikazee, Parokya ni Edgar, and IV of Spades Are Definitely Not Attending the BBM-Sara Rally in Zamboanga
Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Agsunta, and IV of Spades are not joining the BBM-Sara rally in Zamboanga. For your information.
The OPM bands became victims of fake news when a now-deleted political post claimed that the bands would be joining an upcoming campaign event. They’d like to make one thing clear: they’re not.
Just as quickly as the misleading poster went viral, the members of the bands went to social media to correct the poster.
Currently in Dubai for a concert tour, Parokya ni Edgar had one thing to say, “This is not true.”
Kamikazee’s Allan Burdeos was a little more forceful in his words for the fake poster: “Never kami mag paparticipate sa kampanya na ito. Mga sinungaling. Gusto ko lang tahimik at hindi ma-involve sa mga ganitong bagay, kaso kailangan namin gawan to ng aksyon.”
“We are not for sale!” he wrote.
IV of Spades’ Blaster Salonga managed to throw a joke at the outrageous poster: “San darating ang tallano gold. Seryosong sagot. Kailanman hindi mangyayari ito, ngayon palang sinusunog kona ang tulay.”
And Agsunta of course chimed in with their own brand of humor to deal with the audacity of it all: “Wala po kami dito, nasa bahay lang kami ng araw na yan.”
In the heat of campaign season, every rally is turning into a mini-concert with each campaign trying to outdo the other. It looks like some are even resorting to fake news to win this competition. But at least they now know that the world of OPM won’t be victimized so easily.
