First Billboard, Now Google: SB19's 'MAPA' Breaks into Top 10 Most-Searched Songs in the World in 2021

After becoming the first Filipino act to top Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart, it looks like SB19 is now coming after Google as the P-pop group’s song “MAPA” just became the fifth most Googled song in 2021—in the world.

SB19 was up against the likes of BTS, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow, but was able to hold their own, securing the fifth spot on the list. Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” was the most Googled song in 2021, according to Google’s Global Trends 2021, followed by Lil Nas X’s “Montero” and “Industry Baby.”

Here’s the full list of the most-Googled songs of 2021 in the world:

Just a few days before making Google history, SB19 made Billboard history for also becoming the first group to top the Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart apart from BTS. SB19 is made up of Filipino members Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin. The band was formed in 2016 and debuted in 2018, and was recently nominated for the Best Southeast Asian Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The band has released one studio album so far (Get in the Zone).

2021 has clearly been a good year for the P-pop band. Listen to the band’s latest record-breaking songs below.
