1| Baumgartner Restoration

From the channel's name, you've probably picked up that Baumgartner Restoration is all about... restorations. Instead of a car or an antique knife, Julian Baumgartner restores paintings and makes them shiny and new. Most of the videos are 30 minutes long, and he gets technical enough with his narrations that it's actually very entertaining.

2| Binging with Babish

Technically speaking, Binging with Babish isn't a time-waster. It's a useful channel that combines film and cooking. It's a time-waster—in the best way possible—if you're a big fan of film and television with no knowledge of cooking. Each week, Binging with Babish recreates food items from various movies and television shows such as the ratatouille from Ratatouille, Krabby Patty from SpongeBob SquarePants, and more.

3| Engineering Explained

If you like cars and you want different content than reviews, Engineering Explained is definitely worth checking out. With each video, Engineering Explained's Jason Fenske answers the question: How do cars work?

4| LockPickingLawyer

Ever wanted to see a professional lockpick? Here's your chance. With almost two million subscribers, the LockPickingLawyer is a weirdly hypnotic channel that hopes to educate consumers on just how weak security devices are. In fact, there are even manufacturers that answer him and take his videos into account.

Luckily, you can almost get the same satisfaction by watching Luke Towan create his ultra-realistic dioramas. He'll take you step-by-step in each video, and by the end of it, you'll have a ton of knowledge on building dioramas.

6| Primitive Technology

Primitive Technology is fun to watch because it's a whole lot of things you'll probably never do. Like how to build an a-frame hut, brick firing kiln, or mud bricks. With the way things are going this year... maybe his videos will prove to be useful in the future.
