Cathay Pacific's HK Express Launches New Flights from Clark to Hong Kong
HK Express, a subsidiary of Cathay Pacific, has announced the introduction of a new flight route connecting Clark International Airport (CRK) in the Philippines to Hong Kong. This new service, set to commence on June 6, will operate four times a week, offering passengers more flexibility and options to explore the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Hong Kong remains a top destination for tourists and business travelers as it boasts a rich culture, diverse culinary landscape, iconic landmarks, and bustling shopping districts.

The launch of this new route by HK Express marks a notable expansion of the airline's operations in the Philippines, building on its existing service to Manila. Clark International Airport, in addition, is poising itself as an alternative hub to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the capital. It was awarded the Prix Versailles Laureate, which gives it a spot on the World's Most Beautiful Airports.
The introduction of the Clark-Hong Kong route by HK Express comes at a time when the airport is witnessing a remarkable recovery in passenger numbers. In 2023, nearly two million passengers chose Clark International Airport for their travel needs, representing a substantial 158% recovery compared to the previous year.
Noel Manankil, President and CEO of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the entity managing Clark International Airport, expressed enthusiasm over this new development on CRK-HKG route by HK Express, emphasizing the benefits of increased travel options and the convenience it brings to passengers.
With HK Express becoming the 14th airline to operate out of CRK, the airport now boasts connections to seven domestic destinations with a weekly frequency of 73 flights and 10 international destinations with 84 flights per week.
