Valentine’s Day is only a week away, and people are already rushing to find the perfect gift. But for those still looking for a date, perhaps this is where you should look:  

It looks like people in Eastern Visayas are the most romantic people in the Philippines. According to a data study by international e-commerce platform Picodi.com, the Visayan people are among the most romantic Filipinos as both Eastern and Central Visayas took the top two spots on the list, respectively.

Given that this is where the romantic destinations of Boracay, Bacolod, and Bohol are located, it’s not all that surprising that the people of Eastern and Central Visayas are the most romantic of us all.

Using Google to locate which regions were Googling phrases like “Valentine’s Day,” “love confession,” “flowers,” “love,” and other romance-related words in the days leading up to the big day, Picodi.com was able to rank the country’s most romantic people per region based on who’s actually interested in V-Day at all.

Analyzing the popularity of these searches in 2019, the study found that after Eastern and Central Visayas, Central Luzon took the third spot, followed by Bicol and Calabarzon.

Meanwhile, the regions least interested in the day of love are Mimaropa, SOCCSKARGEN, and Caraga—the most unromantic locations on the list. Looks like Cupid missed his arrows down in these regions.

Now, the question remains: Where is your valentine from?
