The newest travel and accessories collection of travel and lifestyle brand Tumi and supercar maker and Formula One team McLaren highlights motorsports-inspired designs co-created for motoring enthusiasts. The range includes small leather goods, outerwear, and sleeker silhouettes. The designs also include the use of carbon fiber accents, which both brands use in their products, as well as McLaren’s signature papaya orange colorway.

The first time McLaren used the papaya orange color in Formula One was its debut at the Race of Champions in March 1968 in the DFV-powered M7A race car. McLaren Racing Team is the second oldest and second most successful F1 team and was named after its founder, New Zealand driver Bruce McLaren. His team won its first GP race at the 1968 Belgian Grand Prix. The color has since been identified with the famous supercar brand and F1 team. The team currently stands third in constructor’s championship while its young driver, Lando Norris ranks fifth in the driver championship points for 2021.

These additional pieces are all about making those moments of travel and reconnection, that we’ve all been yearning for, truly special."
“Following the success of our first drop with McLaren, we remain in everlasting pursuit of best-in-class design excellence,” Victor Sanz, creative director of TUMI, added. “Our incredible journey as collaborators evolved as we explored ways in which we could further develop the collection. As a result, we purposely set out to ensure we were connecting with all levels of customers this season. Our shared goal is to give everyone an opportunity to engage with this amazing collaboration.”
