Pickup Coffee Joins Endeavor's Network of Entrepreneurs

The homegrown coffee chain is the 33rd company to become part of the network, joining the likes of Bo's Coffee and Zark's Burgers, among others.

Pickup Coffee is gearing up to broaden its market in the Philippines even more as it joins Endeavor's network of "high-impact" global entrepreneurs.

Endeavor made the announcement at the 99th International Selection Panel held in Nairobi, Kenya from May 22 to 24. The panel that selected the homegrown coffee business included Jose Bonilla (Chiper and Endeavor entrepreneur); Songe LaRon (SQUIRE Technologies and Endeavor Western New York Board Member and entrepeneur); Michael Mutiga (Safaricom and Endeavor Kenya Board Member); Nevzat Aydin (Yemeksepati and Endeavor Turkey Board Member); Costantza Sbokou Constantakopolou (Phaea and Endeavor Greece Board Chair); and Shu Nyatta (Bicycle Capital and Endeavor Global Board Member).

Pickup Coffee, founded by Diego Lorenzo and Jaime González Fernández in 2022, is emerging as one of the few chains offering affordable yet high-quality coffee options in the Philippines. This is aligned with its goal of bridging the gap between affordability and quality in the local coffee market.

The landmark selection paves the way for Pickup Coffee to grow its connections, as well as further increase its capital, while it expands its network to reach coffee lovers from all over the country. The company has so far raised more than $40 million from investors, including Argor Capital and GO Ventures.

Endeavor is a non-profit organization that invests in entrepreneurs that it believes have the “most” potential. The newest addition to its Philippine arm makes Pickup Coffee the 33rd company to join its network, following consumer finance platform BillEase last May 1. Other startups in the Philippines supported by Endeavor include Angkas, Bo’s Coffee, Coins.ph, Kumu, Lay Bare, Tonik, and Zark’s Burgers.
