Filipino Startup FlowerStore Expands to Thailand


Philippine startup FlowerStore continues its regional expansion as it prepares to launch in Thailand just in time for Valentine’s Day. This will make Thailand the startup’s third country after the Philippines and Vietnam. 

The floral and gifting e-commerce company will be starting a new brand and platform in Thailand named, which will sell flowers, gourmet food, drinks, plants, personalized items, and more Valentine’s-friendly items. 

Valentine’s Day is one of the best holidays for the floral industry worldwide, with roses currently five times more expensive in the Philippines than on any other day of the year. FlowerStore’s collection and preservation system allows the company to maintain regular prices during holidays to give customers access to competitive prices.  

FlowerStore’s expansion to Thailand fulfills one of the startup’s commitments after it closed its pre-series A funding round last November. FlowerStore Group shared that it would use its fresh funds (of an undisclosed amount) to set up operations in Thailand and Malaysia, the former of which it has now accomplished. 


The local startup aims to become the leading destination for flowers and gifts in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand. Within the next few months, we can expect its expansion into Malaysia and perhaps even the rest of Southeast Asia.
