KFC Philippines, the official Philippine franchise of U.S.-based Kentucky Fried Chicken, is now opening its doors to Filipino entrepreneurs interested in being part of KFC Philippines’ first batch of pioneer franchisees.

After signing the franchising deal with KFC Asia in November last year, KFC Philippines is officially starting its franchising arm. Costs will vary based on location, store area, and type, but the price will most likely range from P17 million to P22 million for in-line or mall stores or P32 to P35 million for free-standing stores.

According to KFC Philippines, the company will equip all franchisees with all the necessary equipment and guidance, such as selecting the store location, promoting the store, and managing daily operations.

"From building to opening and operating the store, KFC Philippines will fully manage the franchise store," said the KFC franchising team.

In essence, the franchisees will primarily become investors and franchise owners of the franchised unit as KFC Philippines will handle the full operations of the store.

The company is already accepting applications. Interested entrepreneurs can contact the KFC Franchising Team via email at [email protected]. Requirements include a letter of intent, location map of proposed site, and floor plan. Applications will be evaluated during the franchising screening process.

KFC opened its first store in the U.S. in 1940, and its secret “11 secret herbs and spices” recipe launched it to international fame. KFC now has 21,000 restaurants across 130 countries. The company opened its first store in the Philippines in 1966, and has since expanded to 300 stores nationwide.
