Spanish Chef Daniel Sancho Bronchalo Confesses to Partner's Murder

YouTube celebrity Spanish chef Daniel Sancho Bronchalo admitted that he killed and butchered the body of 44-year-old Colombian surgeon Dr. Edwin Arrieta Arteaga.

This is according to the Thai police investigating the crime, which occurred in Ko Phangan, Southern Thailand on August 2, 2023.

Daniel, 29, is the son of Spanish actors Rodolfo Sancho Aguirre and Silvia Bronchalo, resulting in widespread attention to the case. 

Rodolfo has contacted the Spanish embassy in Thailand and is scheduled to travel there to help his son in his case.

What Happened? 

Garbage collectors found Arrieta's dismembered body in a garbage dump on Thursday, August 3.

The next day, Friday, August 4, a black plastic bag was found containing two severed legs, a black t-shirt, and red boxer shorts.

Daniel was last seen with the victim based on security videos gathered by the Thai Police.

On Thursday night, the 29-year-old celebrity chef went to the Koh Pangan police station to report Arrieta missing.

On Friday, Daniel was brought to the aforementioned police station to be investigated, where he subsequently admitted that he was the one who killed Arrieta.

Accused Claims He and Victim Were Lovers

Police Lt. Gen. said. Surapong Thanomjit of Provincial Police Region 8 said Arrieta's relatives told him that the relationship between the victim and Daniel had been going on for a year.

The two went to Koh Pangan to attend the Full Moon party.

During the police investigation, Daniel said that Arrieta forced him to have sex.

But he refused and in a fit of rage, he punched the victim who lost consciousness when his head hit the bathtub.

Daniel butchered Arrieta's body, which he cut into fourteen pieces, stuffed in a travel bag and plastic bags.

Daniel left the plastic bags in the garbage bin and threw the travel bag on a beach near the hotel he was staying at and then checked out.

That night, Daniel attended the Full Moon party with two women and after that, he went to the police station to report that Arrieta was missing.
