Burberry Unveils British-Inspired Summer 2025 Collection
The Burberry Summer 2025 Collection embodies an easy elegance rooted in a distinctly British spirit. "This is an evolution of Winter 2024; an easy elegance that feels inviting for summer. We want the pieces to feel welcoming, and for the wearers to feel confident," says Burberry Group's Chief creative officer Daniel Lee.
The collection resonates with a sense of adventure and creativity, featuring expressive silhouettes and innovative fabric details. Key highlights include deconstructed trench elements crafted from lightweight materials like silk poplin and linen, along with protective capes and parkas. Weathered materials and washed effects lend a heritage touch, while the iconic Burberry Check adorns a variety of garments and accessories.
"The outdoor references are subtle in this collection. We used treatments on fabrics to give a weathered effect, and the colour palette is light and joyful. There is a lightness in the collection; textures, shapes and colours that feel calming. A sense of joy was important for us, for people to feel good when they see and wear the clothes," says Lee.

The collection embraces both function and style, with relaxed trousers featuring adjustable silhouettes, and hand-stitched dresses in gold and lilac. Outerwear is light yet protective, emphasizing a playful and joyful color palette of cheerful and earthy tones. Footwear ranges from robust clogs to softly constructed loafers and feminine heels, reflecting a balance of practicality and elegance.Â
Presented against the backdrop of the National Theatre and complemented by artist Gary Hume's modernist works, the collection portrays a harmonious blend of British brutalism and the inherent lightness of summer fashion.
"Working with Gary has been amazing. I have been so inspired by his thought process; his use of colour, shapes, and the emotion behind his works. It has been so important in designing this collection," says Lee.
