Dressing up for summer has always meant bright colors, eye-catching prints, and flowy fabrics. But, we'll be honest: we'd rather stick with our blacks and whites in (slightly) structured fabrics through the whole year even if that means we'd stick out like a sore thumb in Manila's scorching heat. As if we need another excuse to not give up our trusty black pieces for the summer, COS is making a case for statement pieces and relaxed essentials in subdued colors and materials.
The latest collection, inspired by "the renewal of the seasons and the brand’s optimism for the future," features a continuing streetwear influence through wide-legged trousers, pull-on shorts, and light layering pieces. While the brand's commitment to sourcing quality materials puts the focus on sustainably-sourced linen and hemp, as well as repurposed materials such as recycled nylon.
