Dior Shows Us Its Playful Side With a Otani Workshop Capsule
Dior reconnects with its more playful side with a collaboration that sees the artistic director of Dior Men, Kim Jones, collaborate with Otani Workshop, a Japanese artist—an eminent and singular figure in contemporary art. The new Dior & Otani Workshop capsule collection overflows with energy and is enlivened by a small green monster imagined by the famous sculptor and present in almost all the pieces of the line.
The Dior & Otani Workshop capsule includes varsity jackets, t-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, and trousers. There is also no shortage of accessories such as caps, pins, ties, bracelets, and bags, which are also characterized by a fresh and lively verve, so much so that even a classic piece like the tie takes on a new personality in this line.
To complete the offer with a bang, there's the B27 low sneaker. Made of smooth blue calfskin, it's embellished with Dior Oblique Galaxy leather inserts and one of the season's signature motifs on the sides. It is enriched by CD Icon eyelets and various classic details on the two-tone rubber sole, on the tongue and on the back. The capsule items are then joined by a series of pieces from Dior's spring 2024 collection, such as the B57 medium sneaker or the more classic B33 tennis shoe now offered in a limited edition of 470 numbered examples.
