At least as far as its relevance in fashion and menswear, Jordan Brand has some stepping up to do. Now that Adidas has climbed up to take the number two spot next to Nike, it’s apparent that, by and large, people just don’t have the same affinity for the Jumpman anymore.

But if there’s a shoe among Jordan Brand’s upcoming holiday releases that can help His Airness’ signature label gain a little more ground, it will likely be this wheat colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi OG. The first Air Jordan is being faithfully reissued once again, this time with a super-premium full suede upper including a nylon tongue with a suede tag and boot laces, all on top of a gum sole. It’s one of the more luxe and fashion-forward Air Jordans to be released this year.

The ‘Elemental Gold’ Air Jordan 1s are one of three wheat colorways releasing this season, along with an Air Jordan 6 and an Air Jordan 13. And barring any surprise release announcements, they’re also the best of Jordan Brand’s holiday season by a mile. These are the sort of sneakers that pair well with raw denim or anything within the direction of upscale workwear—excellent alternatives to six-inch Timberland boots—unless of course, you’re actually going hiking.

The Air Jordan 1 ‘Elemental Gold’ is slated to release on November 25, 2017 in Jordan Brand retailers worldwide.
