What Scents Do Thai Stars William and Est Prefer?
What do you look for in a fragrance? What type of notes do you need to look out for when picking up a new scent to reach peak confidence as a man?
We got to sample a slew of scents and got to hang out with the always dapper Thai megastars William Jakrapatr Kaewpanpong and Est Supha Sangaworawong (collectively known as WilliamEst) and other style aficionados who scanned the diverse scent options and combinations at the newly opened Parfums de Marly boutique in Glorietta 4 in Makati City.

How a man smells is at times an overlooked component to his style and fashion sensibilities. Choosing a suitable scent is not just picking out whatever smells good, but it's also taking into account what type of mood you want to emit that would keep your confidence, attraction, and mood at a consistent peak.
Niche French perfume house Parfums de Marly might have what the modern Filipino man is looking for with its array of elegant fragrances ranging from musky, woody, to even saffron-based scents.

"Fresh Fragrance, so I will go with a citrus note and something like lime," Est tells Esquire Philippines, referring to what type of fragrance he prefers and adds that he wears usually sprays a few puffs in the morning.
For William, he simply said that he prefers a scent that is more "sophisticated" in nature.
We also got to sample the lot of the fragrances laid out by Parfum de Marly at their boutique, which had a bunch of scents that we just had to nab and take home. Here is a brief rundown of some of the scents that we got to try and would reccomend to discerning Filipino men who happen to swing by the store in Glorietta 4.
First up is the PDM Pegasus, which we see as a potential daily scent. It's rooted in power notes of vanila and almond but still within a masculine scent profile. In case you were wondering how to easily remember the scent, it's the one with the stunning silver bottle.
The next scent is in navy blue or the PDM Percival, which is characterized by its fresh and faceted scenet with notes of lavender and bergamot. We then tried out the Layton, which is in the black bottle and gives off a scent of fern enveloped in precious wood for that signature woody note.
Lastly, we reccomend a scent you can bring out for special ocassions.

The Haltane, which comes in the green bottle, is for the more adventurous gentlemen who aren't opposed to more flowery smelling and spicy scents. This particular fragrance is distinguished via its aromatic sparkle contrasted with precious woods and a saffron-praline accord.
Parfums de Marly's entry into the Philippine market and its boosted accessibility thanks to its brand new boutique will further expand the fragrance options and allow Filipinos to get a taste of why people marvel at the scent offerings from the niche French perfume house.
