Audemars Piguet's Latest Watch Is What Collectors Are Scrambling to Get

Audemars Piguet has released numerous watches this year, but its latest release, in particular, is one that's extra special. We're talking about the Supersonnerie version of Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak.

The Swiss watchmaker launched the timepiece to minimal fanfare on its website last week. Eagle-eyed watch fans and collectors, however, quickly spotted the release. And how could they not? The timepiece is probably the hottest AP of late.

Limited to only 20 pieces, this special edition features a titanium case with a glare-proof sapphire crystal and a screw-locked crown. The dial, on the other hand, features the Grand Tapisserie pattern, white gold applied hour markers, and the unmistakeable Royal Oak hands.

The real highlight, of course, is the groundbreaking Supersonnerie, the triple-patented complication that produces gongs and chimes to represent each hour and minute.

The classic Royal Oak already goes for quite a bit, $19,000 to be exact (approximately P965,000), so expect this version to go way beyond that. The Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie is exclusively available through Yoshida.
