Watchmaker Panerai has announced that celebrity travel entrepreneur and environmental advocate Jeremy Jauncey is the latest addition to its team of Global Ambassadors. The luxury watch brand says that it will collaborate with the internationally recognized entrepreneur, investor, and business advisor over the next year “on projects that address a shared passion for adventure and environmentally sustainable practices.” The announcement was made in time for the celebration of World Oceans Day 2021.

Jauncey is the founder and CEO of Beautiful Destinations, an award-winning strategy and creative agency for travel businesses, and has become one of the foremost and most influential movers in his industry. His company was also recognized by Fast Company as one of the world’s most innovative.
With over 30 million followers, Jauncey's brand wields a powerful voice in the world of travel on social media. It does not only promote travel destinations but largely considers sustainability and conversation by advocating responsible travel. He has also been an ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund and GoldStandard.org.
“I have loved Panerai for as long as I can remember and it is a huge honor for me to join the Panerai family,” said Jauncey. “I’m excited to support their sustainability efforts and to introduce a new audience of consumers to this amazing brand.”
A watch made from recycled materials
Forging a relationship with Jauncey was a natural decision according to Panerai CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué.
“At Panerai, we believe that the most formidable challenges are only solved through visionary leadership and innovation,” he says. “Environmental degradation is among the most critical challenges imaginable. With projects like the Submersible eLAB-ID, the watch with the highest percentage of recycled-based material ever, Panerai has taken the initiative in addressing the environmental impacts of watchmaking.
"Jeremy is at the forefront of contending with the same issues in the travel sphere and he is a global citizen in the very best sense," Pontroué adds. "We look forward to bringing together our respective know-how to create products and systems and that will change the world for the better.”

A little over a year ago, Jauncey started dating 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and it seems the romance has blossomed into something more serious. The couple has been documenting their travels on social media, often posting their photos especially on Instagram. According to PEP, Jauncey and Wurtzbach marked their first anniversary as a couple last December 31.
“December 31st is always a special day for me, not only is it the last day of the year- a chance to reflect and remember all the things that happened but it’s also our anniversary,” Jauncey said.
