John Lloyd Cruz Smiles with Pure Joy in Swatch Video

John Lloyd Cruz has been pretty much out of the limelight for the last three years, on hiatus from the glitter of tinseltown.
He's been in 1,094 days of radio silence in the world of showbiz, just about.
He's said he needed a break to answer the many what-ifs about his life, and was recently spotted in Palawan, happily enjoying a far simpler life than his complicated past.
“At one point you realize, sobrang iksi pala ang buhay,” he’s said in interviews.
The award-winning actor stars in a new Swatch ad, with its main character only needing “a second to realize how simple everything should be.”
After “37 years to learn to be human,” Cruz is shown happily buying food at a nondescript eatery.

He's later smiling from ear-to-ear with pure joy as he engages an unseen someone in a video call.
"Fatherhood is 24 hours and seven days a week," says the ad. Cruz himself has a co-parenting setup with Ellen Adarna, the mother of their son, two-year-old Elias Modesto.
In the next scene, Cruz pulls open a door with that same heartstring-tugging grin.
"Learning that now because of you..."
Time is forever, says the video, as the actor is seen tossing a child up in the air.
“Time is what you make of it,” says Cruz in a voiceover, as the Swatch logo airs at the very end.
