Look: Christian and Stephanie Gonzalez's African Adventure

For their seventh wedding anniversary, Christian Gonzalez and Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez made sure to keep their spirit of adventure alive with another African safari.
This time, they went to Botswana, a first for the frequent travelers. The couple made the most of their August holidays and took a week off to unwind and explore the country's bushes and salt pans.
Take a look at the romantic shots from their anniversary getaway below.
Both avid travelers, the International Container Terminal Services Inc. senior vice president and the Philux COO first made their way to South Africa.
The couple has been to South Africa numerous times. Earlier this year, they took their daughters, five-year-old Andrea and one-year-old Arielle, to the Kalahari Desert, which Stephanie has dubbed their “happy place” on her Instagram posts.
For their first stop, the couple spent time at the Okavango Delta, a wildlife reserve known for its safaris and its game viewing.
Since it was the dry season on the delta, they saw the animals gathering together at watering holes. This was one of the highlights of their trip.
While there, they got up close and personal with an abundance of wild animals: lions, elephants, zebras, sables, and African Fish Eagles.
Stephanie also made friends with a meerkat…
…while Christian added new images to his photography portfolio.
Many of the wildlife shots, including this one, were taken by Christian.
After spending their days with the animals, they retreated to a nearby lodge and went to bed in a tent.
The lodge was located right across a hippo pool, as if they needed a reminder of where they were.
The second leg of their trip was at the very bare Makgadikgadi Pan, one of the world’s largest salt flats.
Its stunning horizon gave the couple an unparalleled view of the savanna.
The lovebirds spent the rest of their trip in another tent.
The chic accommodations included a candle-lit dinner in the middle of nowhere and a tent dedicated to tea time.
They spent one night under the stars while lounging on a free-standing deck.
There, they got to witness every sunrise and moonset, all while enjoying a break from their cellular phones.
Stephanie marked the occasion with a sweet message to her husband on Instagram.
“Our adventures are always treasured. The last one was a dream and I am so grateful I get to share it with you. Happy 7,” she captioned their photos together.
As soon as the couple arrived back in Manila, Stephanie went straight to work at Philux. The company recently launched a new collection—which was six months in the making—called Pacific Sectional.
