Recently, however, the company introduced a new service that no longer requires its members to put their own homes on the rental list. This new feature means that now, almost anybody can rent a luxury home, as long as one can pay for it, from a portfolio of properties that averages £1.7 million in value. Those interested in listing their homes with Third Home may apply for membership and pay out an initial fee of $2,500. The minimum criteria for a house to be accepted is that is must be in a prime location, decked with quality furnishings, and have amenities available for potential guests. These homes are rated with “Keys,” which are the equivalent of hotel stars in this case. The more Keys a home collects, the more credits its owner earns. Each home exchange starts at $395 to $995 and is also based on the number of Keys you use in the transactions.
