We first saw the Ferrari 12Cilindri at the Universo Ferrari event in Bangkok last November. The grand tourer seamlessly blends power, elegance, and cutting-edge technology and pays homage to Ferrari’s iconic front-mounted V12 lineage while pushing the boundaries of modern automotive engineering. 

On February 17, the 12Cilindri finally made its way to the Philippines. Unveiled at the Velocità Motors showroom in San Juan City, the car pays homage to Ferrari’s iconic front-mounted V12 lineage while pushing the boundaries of modern automotive engineering.

At the heart of the 12Cilindri is the 6.5-liter F140HD V12 engine, delivering 819 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque, propeling the 12Cilindri from zero to 100kph in just 2.9 seconds. It can reach a top speed exceeding 340 kph. This powerplant is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) that offers shorter gear ratios for blistering acceleration. The driving experience is further enhanced by an advanced brake-by-wire system, four-wheel independent steering, and a high-tech aluminum chassis, ensuring exceptional agility and handling.

The 12Cilindri continues Ferrari’s tradition of front-mounted V12 engines, dating back to 1947. The limited production and exclusivity of V12-powered Ferraris, such as the LaFerrari, Daytona SP3, and 812 Competizione, are reserved for Ferrari’s top clientele. The V12 engine of the 12Cilindri is derived from the 812 Competizione. 

Inspired by the iconic Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona with its long, flat hood, cab-rearward stance, and distinctive front fascia. This blend of retro aesthetics with modern elements creates a timeless and striking appearance. However, it has advanced aerodynamics with active rear flaps adjust for Low Drag (LD) and High Downforce (HD) modes, optimizing performance.

The 12Cilindri’s innovative four-wheel independent steering enhances maneuverability, making the car more agile in corners. A brake-by-wire system with ABS Evo ensures precise and confident stopping power. The vehicle features carbon-ceramic brakes with 15.7-inch front and 14.2-inch rear rotors, ensuring exceptional stopping power and durability.

Inside, the car offers a luxurious, driver-focused cockpit with high-quality materials, including extensive use of Alcantara, the synthetic fabric that feels like suede often used as an alternative to leather. Offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto the dual-cockpit design features three digital displays for optimal information access. The spacious cabin is enhanced by a new glass roof, creating an airy and open atmosphere that blends comfort with Ferrari’s signature sporty feel.

The price? The 12Clindri starts at around P43.9 million and goes up depending on how you owners will spec the car.
