Lexus Philippines recently announced that the Lexus IS 350 F Sport now comes with added goodies to make sure you can get the most out of the sport sedan’s performance. This variant now comes with a Limited-Slip Differential (LSD), a set of gorgeous 19-inch forged alloy wheels, a Blind-Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Automatic Braking (RCTAB) to make sure the high-performance sedan is also as safe as it gets, giving the owners an elevated driving experience.
A limited slip differential is a special set of gears on the car’s differential to reduce individual wheelspin, which improves the traction of a car. If one wheel loses traction, the limited slip differential senses this and sends power to the wheel with the most grip.

Lexus believes that the union between man and machine is the thrust of the Lexus Driving Signature (LDS). In its purest essence, it pursues linear operation faithful to the driver's intentions with the goal to amplify confidence, comfort, and overall love of driving. The Lexus IS model was the brand’s first to use the LDS philosophy. This was developed from the ground up so the brand can fully showcase this philosophy. The IS made sense since it has already earned a popular following as a very capable rear-wheel-drive sport sedan.
Besides the Blind-Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Automatic Braking (RCTAB) which now come standard with the Lexus IS 350 F Sport, other safety features include the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) and Lane Departure Alert (LDA).
Aside from it having a rear-wheel-drive platform, the reliable 3.5-liter V6 motor that develops 315ps at 6,600rpm and 380Nm at 4,800 to 4,900rpm, offers the best pairing with a sophisticated LSD that delivers power to the rear wheels for optimum cornering speeds and maximum acceleration while retaining full control. The 19-inch forged alloy wheels are also 10 percent lighter compared to the previous F-Sport alloy wheels, which requires less energy to accelerate and less effort to decelerate as well.
The Lexus IS debuted in 2001 and over two decades later, the third generation IS continues to live true to the brand ideals of Lexus.
The Lexus IS is available in 3 variants: the IS300h Executive (P3.038 million), IS300h Premier (P3.398 million) and the IS 350 F-Sport (P4.178 million).
