Stunt Driver Russ Swift is Performing in Clark, Pampanga This Weekend

Motoring enthusiasts know Russ Swift as a world-renowned stunt driver and Guinness World Record holder. He’s been performing since the 1990s ever since he got his big break doing a Montego car commercial.  He’s also performed stunts for movies like The Italian Job and TV shows like Top Gear in the U.K. Swift was once challenged to complete an obstacle course while driving his car in reverse to race against the clock with a London Taxi driver. 

This weekend, Motor Image Pilipinas, the exclusive local distributor of Subaru vehicles, is bringing back the British precision driver to perform his stunts for the first time in Clark, Pampanga. Swift is no stranger to the Philippines, being one of the main features in the annual Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) that is staged every April.

Having thrilled car fans for decades, Swift often does two-wheel stunts, donuts, J-turns and his famous signature parallel parking maneuvers. Thousands of visitors to MIAS have already seen his show in Manila, as well as in Cebu and Davao. This year, Motor Image Pilipinas decided to bring his show up north for the enjoyment of the audience in Pampanga and its nearby residents. 

For the first time, Swift will be performing in North Luzon using the new Forester SUV, the new BRZ sports coupe and the all-new WRX sedan.

Swfit actually considers the Philippines his second home, having performed at MIAS since 2006. He has made many friends here over the years and would sometimes extend his stay and spend holidays in Boracay and Tagaytay right after his shows.

While performing stunts in movies, retakes are the usual way of filming and perfecting a stunt, But Swift performs his stunts live three times daily and his maneuvers are spot on all the time, thrilling spectators.

Entrance is free for visitors to the Subaru event at the Gatwick Gateway.

Russ Swift is performing at the Gatwick Gateway, Clark Global City, which is near Medical City Clark and the Hot Air Balloon Fest Site). His performance schedule is as follows: October 7 (Friday), 1pm / 3pm / 5pm; October 8 (Saturday), 1pm / 3pm / 5pm; October 9 (Sunday), 1pm / 3pm / 5pm.
