A Hybrid Variant of the All-New Toyota Innova Zenix Is Coming to the Philippines
Toyota already has a lineup of hybrid vehicles available in the Philippines—the Corolla Cross, Corolla Altis, Camry, and the Rav4—but it’s looking to add one more.
Clearly the Japanese car giant thinks there’s room for more electrified vehicle options as it has announced that it will introduce a hybrid version of the all-new Toyota Innova Zenix later this month.
Alluding to the word “zenith,” or the absolute pinnacle, the Zenix is the latest generation of Toyota’s bestselling MPV. At launch, Toyota will offer the Zenix in two variants: the regular gas engine and a hybrid model, which marks the first time an electrified powertrain is available in the Innova.

Although Toyota did not immediately disclose the full specs of the Zenix in its news release about the launch sent to Esquire Philippines, our friends at Top Gear Philippines already came out with the details. This new Innova has a 2.0-liter Dynamic Force gas engine capable of churning out 174 hp, while torque is at 205 Nm. If you’re keen on getting the hybrid variant, power output is higher at 186 hp with 206 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox.
The Zenix hybrid comes with a ton of safety features under Toyota Safety Sense, including pre-collision system, lane-tracing assist and lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, and a 360-degree-view camera with rear cross-traffic alert.
Other standard features on both variants include a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, second-row captain seats, power liftgate, and electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
Various other motoring news sites have revealed that the Toyota Innova Zenix is available in the following colors: Dark Steel Mica (Q Hybrid CVT), Blackish Brown Mica (Q Hybrid CVT), Attitude Black Mica (V CVT), Gray Metallic (V CVT), Silver Metallic (V CVT), Platinum White Pearl Mica (Q Hybrid CVT and V CVT).
“We are very excited to finally bring in the All-New Toyota Zenix, further boosting Toyota’s wide range of electrified vehicle choices for Filipino families,” said Danny Cruz, Toyota Motor Philippines' First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations. “We acknowledge the growing demand for electrified vehicles in the country and we appreciate our customers’ conscious efforts to opt for sustainable mobility. Widespread adoption of electrified vehicles is one of our goals and we would like to support this by providing practical and suitable choices.”
