The metaverse has increasingly reflected the realities of our physical universe. It basically bridges the gap between two realms. With it, we've unraveled new layers to appreciate the augmented and physical realities of art in both digital and new media landscapes. The metaverse also paved the way for the application of artificial intelligence (AI) as a new tool for creation.

In Galeria Paloma's Parallel, all these narratives come into play. It focuses on the emergence of "phygital art," where creativity treads on two or more concurrent media. The show seeks to capture the artistic zeitgeist of man and machine.

Parallel marks Galeria Paloma's first exhibition at the Art Fair, promising to portray the parallelism between physical and digital art. Each piece will be displayed on partner Samsung's The Frame. The works will be displayed at Ninfa Labs in Milan, Italy, as well.

>p"During the onboarding phase of the galleries, Galeria Paloma came to our attention as a solid project that immediately gave us confidence in wanting to establish a collaborative relationship with them," Ninfa Labs said in a statement. "We believe regardless of how digitalized the world has become, there's still a significant need for human interaction. It's crucial to be able to offer a space for traditional collectors who are curious to learn about this new digital world.">pIt added: "It is these new digital technologies which allow us to experience simultaneous exhibitions, as is now the case, even if from different parts of the world.">pCollectors, on the other hand, get to own both the physical and digital forms and versions of the pieces. Galeria Paloma Director Kimi Delgado sees the showcase as a way to allow our local artists to thrive in the global digital sphere, too. "This is in line with our goals to align with the best platforms internationally in order to afford more exposure to the artists we represent, as well as to embrace technological advances allowing for an original work of art to be exhibited in two (or more) locations," she expressed.>pALSO READ:>pThis Artist Is the Only Filipino Included in Art Basel Hong Kong's Pioneering Interactive Art Exhibit>pCrypto Art Is in the Spotlight at Galeria Paloma's '1/1' Exhibition>
