Bottoms up, because it's October and in some parts of the world, that means beer, beer, and some sausages. The most authentic German beer festival in the Philippines, the German Club Oktoberfest, will be held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila on October 6 to 7. The hotel's Harbor Garden Tent will be transformed into a traditional biergarten for the eighth consecutive year.

An expected 2,000 guests per night will indulge in a grand feast of Bavarian specialties, including roasted pork knuckles, roasted calf, laugen rolls, grilled German sausages, and pastries. Plus, of course, unlimited ice-cold San Miguel beer.

The marquee will feature music by The Bavarian Sound Express who will fly in specially from Germany. Guests can also participate in the beer-drinking contest and raffle draw (the prize is a trip to Germany).

For the full experience, book a weekend getaway at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. Featured room rates start at P6,000nett per night.
