10 Celebrities You Didn't Know Were in Star Wars

You never know who may be under a Stormtrooper helmet.

The behemoth space odyssey franchise has starred some of the biggest names in Hollywood like Natalie Portman, Harrison Ford, and Liam Neeson, yes. But plenty of other big names have slipped into Star Wars almost entirely unnoticed. For example? A staggering list of A-listers like Daniel Craig and members of the British royal family, for starters—truly a testament to the magnetic pull of George Lucas’s magnum opus. It's easy to miss an unmistakable face when it's shielded by a dome-shaped stormtrooper helmet or buried inside a CGI alien humanoid. Below, we list all the cameos you may have missed.

Sofia Coppola

The acclaimed director made a brief appearance as one of Queen Amidala’s handmaidens, Saché, in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace in 1999. While Saché has a larger arc in the expanded Star Wars universe, her role was relegated to a much smaller part in the films.

Jett Lucas

In Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, series creator George Lucas’s son, Jett, made a brief appearance as the Jedi Padawan Zett Jukassa. Since his brief on-screen appearance, Jett has been credited as a visual effects production assistant on both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

Simon Pegg

Tom Hardy
