These Are the Most Streamed Filipino Artists of 2022
Spotify wrapped up its 2022 Wrapped campaign recently. With it, we've learned that there's been a 50-percent spike in Filipino music streams. That's pretty neat (love local or whatever, aye). We also see the usual suspects in the top five most streamed Filipino artists and the songs we listened to the most the past year.
Zack Tabudlo and Ben&Ben are still the most streamed Filipino artists, followed by Arthur Nery, Moira dela Torre, and Adie. The P-pop scene made a lot of noise this year, too. Songs like "Ikaw Lang" by NOBITA, "Paraluman" by Adie, "Pano" by Tabuldo, and "Pagsamo" and "Isa Lang" by Nery were among the most streamed in the Philippines, as well. Groups like BGYO and BINI, and Adie emerged as some other favorites for Filipino listeners.
Meanwhile, our Top Spotify Playlists consist of Hot Hits Philippines, Today’s Top Hits, OPM Favorites, Tatak Pinoy, and Kalye Hip Hop.
As for podcast channels, it was Barangay Love Stories, skypodcast, Dear MOR: The Podcast, Hugot Marcelo, and Punchline with Alex Calleja! that came out on top. We're apparently big fans of podcast genres like pop culture, self-help, love and relationships, and horror, among others.

Moving on to overall numbers here, Taylor Swift, who had the biggest album debut on Spotify Philippines with Midnights, is our most streamed artist this year. She's joined by BTS, Tabudlo, Ben&Ben, and Justin Bieber. The Top Groups Section were dominated by BTS, Ben&Ben, LANY, BLACKPINK, and TWICE while the Top Albums were Proof by BTS, Episode by Tabudlo, Red (Taylor’s Version) by Swift, SOUR by Olivia Rodrigo, and Midnights by Swift. Yes, this is a swiftie nation.
The most streamed musicians in the world, according to Spotify's data, are Bad Bunny, Taylor, Drake, The Weeknd, and BTS. Bad Buddy tops that list for the third straight year, earning about 18.5 billion streams in 2022. Songs like "As It Was" by Harry Styles, "Me Porto Bonito" by Bad Buddy featuring Chencho Corleone, and "Heat Waves" by Glass Animals, on the other hand, are the most streamed tracks worldwide.
