Kamusta Mario: Nintendo Launches Official Website for the Philippines

Gaming giant Nintendo has launched a website dedicated to the Philippines. In a post on Facebook on Tuesday (February 22), the Japanese video gaming company said the site intends to provide “various information about Nintendo, including Nintendo Switch console, game software, and characters from game series such as Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda.”

The announcement followed one for a Malaysia site as well. A Nintendo website for Thailand was launched on December 21, 2021.

So far the Philippines website contains updates for Nintendo Switch games like Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Mario Strikers: Battle League as well as news about Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the new Nintendo Switch Sports, which will launch on April 29.

The site also already contains information about pretty much all the games in its arsenal, including titles for its popular Switch console.

One of the world’s most popular video game companies, Nintendo reported net sales of almost $16 billion (about P820.28 billion) in 2021, up from $12.1 billion a year earlier. 

The company launched a Facebook page dedicated to Southeast Asia last year.
