Taiwan Extends Visa-Free Entry for Filipinos Until July 2020

On July 2, 2019, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines released a statement extending the visa-free treatment it has afforded Pinoy travelers who are visiting for either business or pleasure.
“The visa-free privilege for the nationals of the Philippines will continue for another year from August 1, 2019, through July 31, 2020,” the statement said.
The 14-day visa-free stay only has a few requirements:
- You need to check-in at any airport with your passport and return tickets;
- Your passport should be valid for at least six months;
- You should have return tickets, cruise ship tickets, tickets to your next destination, or proof of your booking to an accommodation to enter Taiwan; and
- You must have a lean, criminal-free record.
If you’re planning to stay beyond 14 days in Taiwan, you “must obtain appropriate visas before traveling to Taiwan from the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines.”
