KC Concepcion is sexy and thriving—and she’s confident about it. The 37-year-old actress wowed the internet as she posted picturesque snaps of her recent beach trip, flaunting her body while posing at the shoreline. She was totally a vision in a printed green swimsuit, all-smiles as she welcomed the upcoming summer season in Batangas.
“Beach baby” was her short and sweet caption on Instagram, and her fans and celebrity friends couldn’t resist commenting on her bold beachside look. “Ang init naman, huy. Sexy!” comedienne Pokwang wrote, among several supportive comments.
Concepcion has always been a beacon for body positivity, showing off her curves even if the internet hasn’t always been kind about it. “I used to get body-shamed when I went on my three-year hiatus for not having that Asian, [stick-thin] body (for an Asian like me), and many women like me get affected by this mentally, emotionally and physically,” she shared in an interview.
Veering away from the unsolicited criticisms, the actress committed to “[making] her 'Portuguese' curves shine [every day],” because she wanted to inspire other women with similar body type to do the same. “I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m here to celebrate all Filipinas who are like me,” she said.
