BPI Users Can Access Services via Pay&Go Kiosks Nationwide
The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is strengthening its position as one of the most accessible banks in the Philippines, with a new partnership that will make its services available in retail stores, including shopping malls and supermarkets. BPI has tapped BTI Payments, which operates more than 5,000 Pay&Go kiosks nationwide.

“With BPI’s products now available through our Pay&Go kiosks, more Filipinos can easily open an e-wallet and savings account, and apply for loans and credit cards,” Dan Ibarra, CEO of BTI Payments, said. “Our joint effort marks a significant step towards building a more financially inclusive Philippines.”
For BPI customers, this essentially means they no longer need to visit a branch to access banking services that are typically available only upon visit. Aside from retail stores, Pay&Go kiosks will also be accessible online through the e-commerce platform Lazada. This alliance marks another step toward improving financial accessibility and convenience in a country where almost half of the population is still unbanked or underbanked.
“This partnership with Pay&Go is a key part of our push for innovation, and we are thrilled to explore new opportunities together,” BPI senior vice president Rally Jereza said. “Together, our potential is limitless.”
According to the Ayala-owned bank, the integration of its services into Pay&Go kiosks aligns with its strategy of reaching 50 million customers across the country. BPI has continuously aimed to grow its portfolio, with its latest and biggest move being its merger with the Gokongwei Group's Robinsons Bank. It is also eyeing an 11 to 12 percent expansion of its loan book this year. The Philippines' oldest bank logged a record net income of P15.3 billion from January to March, a 26 percent increase over the same period in 2023.
BTI Payments, meanwhile, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Australia-headquartered ATM and payment technology company Banktech. Pay&Go, which it operates, is a self-service payment kiosk operator certified by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The latter is also a BankNet-accredited ATM deployer, providing services such as e-money cash-in, government payments, mobile airtime load, bank deposits, and transport top-ups.
Summit Media, which publishes Esquire Philippines, is a company under the Gokongwei Group.
