You're Gonna Want a Pair of Converse and Carhartt's Latest Collab
Two legendary brands are at it again with another co-signed serving of sneakers definitely worth breaking that New Year promise you made to quit buying more shoes.
No strangers to each other, Converse and Carhartt have worked together on several projects in the past. Just last year, they released a sustainable Carhartt WIP Renew Chuck 70 made of upcycled materials from the workwear they manufacture.
These two new iterations of the Converse Chuck 70 Hi once again give the much-loved classic an unmistakable Carhartt WIP flavor. The Michigan-born and bred brand that’s been around for over 130 years makes use of some of its familiar camouflage and canvas, usually seen on their world-famous workwear, to lend Carhartt’s distinct aesthetic to Converse’s most famous silhouette.
Known for producing some of the toughest, most reliable garments driven by the blue-collar spirit, Carhartt makes sure these sneakers aren’t just pretty. Its Motown roots would dictate you look under the hood. Besides the buttery goodness of the Hamilton Brown canvas or how the military camo colorway definitely turns heads, both pairs are crafted in durable 12-oz canvas for each shoe to take on a significant amount of beating, if that’s what you’re into.
For those who grind all day, the OrthoLite insoles will help keep your feet comfortable. Equally rich in tradition with Carhartt is Converse’s 113-year-existence and the collab gives props to the Massachusetts-based brand’s heritage with the vintage license plate paying tribute to the shoe’s timeless design.
