The Best Places For Afternoon Tea in Manila

The English ritual is well-observed at these fine establishments.

There always has been a divide between coffee and tea drinkers, with the perception that one's loyalty can only to one or the other. But the practice of setting aside an afternoon for a warm pot of tea, scones, jams, and other pastries is altogether an additional sitting that cannot be confined to a single cup on the go.

Afternoon tea has been practiced since the 19th century and has developed along with it its own set of rules and etiquette. Whether you plan a leisurely afternoon gathering with friends or you wish to take a break throughout the day, tea time is an easy option.

Here are the best places for afternoon tea in Manila.

This limited offering comes with a glass or a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. On regular days, however, the lounge offers tea for two in the classic English style with sweets, scones, and savory done in the format Anna Maria, Duchess of Bedford, prepared them in the 19th century.
