A New Horse: 6 Things You Need to Know About the All-New Ford Bronco
On Thursday (May 23), Ford Philippines formally launched the long-awaited all-new Bronco at the Okada Manila, adding another iconic nameplate to the American automotive giant’s strong lineup of adventure vehicles. Ford first announced the Bronco’s coming as early as January, with the five-door SUV’s distinctive and boxy silhouette coming with striking bold lines and promising to be a head turner.
“The SUV that started it all for Ford is finally here,” said Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines. “We are excited that Filipinos get to finally experience the off-road performance of the all-new Bronco. With its iconic design and rugged terrain capabilities, adventure seekers are in for a thrill as it can take on extreme conditions in the great outdoors.”

1| The new Bronco available in the Philippines comes in only one variant
The all-new Ford Bronco comes only in the Outer Banks variant with the Sasquatch Package at a starting retail price of P4.998 million. It also comes with a complimentary Peace of Mind service inspection package for a worry-free ownership experience. Ford dealers are already accepting reservations with deliveries to start as early as next month.

2| It’s a true off-roader
Thanks to its High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) System with position-sensitive Bilstein shock absorbers, the Bronco is designed for the harshest off-road conditions, which includes off-road stability at higher speeds and great precision at lower speeds. It also comes with a set of beefy 35-inch mud-terrain tires, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels that works well with low tire pressure when used in muddy and slippery surfaces, high-clearance fender flares and suspension, showing that it means business.
3| It has a powerful engine
It is powered by a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine rated at 335 PS of power and 555 Nm of torque, and is mated to a 10-Speed automatic transmission that has a 4.7 final drive ratio with electronic-locking front and rear axle that’s engineered for maximum traction, ensuring optimal grip and torque, no matter the drive.
4| It’s the G.O.A.T.
Named after a wild half-tamed horse from the western United States, the word “Bronco” has 19th-century Spanish roots which means “rough.” But aside from being named after a wild thoroughbred horse, the Ford Bronco is also a “GOAT.” Its advanced 4x4 with On Demand Engagement feature provides power to all its wheels for enhanced traction and stability and it is called G.O.A.T. mode, short for Goes Over Any Type of Terrain. Just dial the desired mode and the system can match the performance to the terrain, weather, or whatever the roads and trails throw your way.
5| It’s got a removable door and roof option
Completing the outdoor lifestyle, the all-new Bronco comes with a functional Carbonized Gray molded-in-color hard top with a sound deadening headliner with an easy-to-pull-off-and-store removable roof and doors option.
6| It’s got a premium sound system
In keeping up with connectivity, the Bronco’s SYNC 4 infotainment system has a 12-inch touchscreen with swipe capability and Enhanced Voice Recognition feature ensuring easy hand-free access to various controls. The screen also serves as a monitor for the 360-degree camera that gives better visibility especially in rocky and unpredictable terrain. The premium B&O Sound System comes with a 10-speaker set up including a subwoofer.
The Bronco is also packed with a lot of tech and safety features including the Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology, a suite of enhanced driver-assist technologies and safety features such as Auto High-Beam Headlights, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping System, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking to name a few. Its FordPass app comes with features such as the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor, Vehicle Status, and Vehicle Location-giving owners information support as well.
