This is the Lamborghini You Can Take Off-Road

The Lamborghini Huracan is the type of supercar owners typically drive during Sunday car meets, short road trips with their other supercar buddies, or take to the race circuits on track days. With the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, you can do all that and then some.

The car is a not only a track star but is also a trailblazing off-roader. It’s a supercar that marries the ferocious performance of a supercar with the rugged capabilities of an off-road rally thoroughbred.

At first glance, the Huracan Sterrato looks just like its other Huracan siblings but on steroids and with body armor. A raised suspension, aggressive lines, and black wheel arches contribute to the striking and muscular appearance. However, Lamborghini’s meticulously crafted and signature aerodynamics ensures optimal performance both on and off the beaten path. The ground clearance has been increased by 44mm compared to the Huracan EVO and has a wider front and rear track widths by 30mm and 34mm respectively.

Powering the Huracan Sterrato is a normally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine rated at 610hp and 560 Nm of torque that uses a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The electronically controlled all-wheel drive system with rear mechanical self-locking differential ensures optimal grip across all types of road conditions. The car can go from zero to 100kph in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 260 kph.

Lamborghini designed the Huracan Sterrato to effortlessly tackle rugged terrain, gravel tracks, and nearly everything else outside paved roads. Its air intake has been positioned on the roofline to allow more air volume on higher ground, similar to a snorkel fitted to a 4x4 off-roader SUV.

The Sterrato is also equipped with the Italian luxury brand’s updated LDVI (or Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics) system that comes in three modes: Strada, Sport, and Rally. The Rally mode allows the system to recalibrate for low-grip conditions, which is a first for the Huracan collection. The 19-inch rims and custom-engineered Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tires allow versatility and adaptability across various terrains. The tires have a run-flat feature that can go for 80 kms at 80kph with zero tire pressure.

There is one unit of this very special car that curious eyes can see at the Lamborghini showroom in Bonifacio Global City. Unsurprisingly, it’s already spoken for, as is most of the extremely limited 1,499 units for the global market. As expected, future shipments will have ready buyers as well.
