What Can Drivers Expect From Volvo's 2022 Boost Hybrid Range?
Volvo Philippines made some key upgrades to its Boost Hybrid range for 2022, allowing drivers to move in a "personal, sustainable, and safe way.”
The new range of Volvos made their debut at the Manila International Motor show (MIAS) at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Among them were the Volvo XC60, XC90, and S90. Known for their sleek silhouettes, the new Volvos' updates focus on sensible interior features, safety technology, and more.
Each comes with bolder top-end trims and exterior enhancements. The Volvo XC60, for instance, now gets a sportier look thanks to its revamped grille and front bumpers, as well as its R-Design styling details. The Volvo S90 executive sedan, meanwhile, boasts a more spacious and premium design with the long-wheelbase variant in the inscription package. The Swedish carmaker's flagship luxury S.U.V., the XC90, gets an inscription trim update as well.
Together with the aesthetic and functional upgrades, this new Volvo Boost Range lineup now comes with a more robust powertrain. Equipped with the new-generation B6 engine, the vehicles are part of a global drive towards an all-electric and sustainable future for the automobile industry. This engine's 48V hybrid system has the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) at its core for some added power.
Volvo's 2022 Boost range is backed by a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine connected to a 48-volt battery. It provides drivers with a combined power of 313hp and 460 Nm of torque, along with an improved fuel efficiency at 9.4L/100km. Fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions are reduced, as well.
