Oppo Reno10 5G Series

Oppo says the latest versions of its flagship Reno10 Series 5G “defies expectations in mobile innovation and photography.”

The Oppo Reno10 5G Series comes in three variants: the Reno10 5G, Reno10 Pro 5G, and the flagship-level Reno10 Pro+ 5G. Each carries its own industry-leading features although they all share commonalities. All three are equipped with a Telephoto Portrait Camera, a powerful zoom lens technology that captures subjects with great detail and depth even from a distance. Think of those telephoto lenses that professional photographers use, particularly in sporting or motoring events. The technology also creates vivid images regardless of lighting conditions, has facial recognition technology, and enhanced video resolution that supports 4K video shooting for better clarity and detail.

The Reno10 5G, OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G, and the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G are also equipped with SUPERVOOC trademark charging capacity, which essentially charges your phone lightning quick. The base model Reno10 5G promises to get 100 percent charged in just over 45 minutes, the middle variant Reno10 Pro 5G in as little as 28 minutes, while the top-of-the-line Reno10 Pro+ 5G in less time than that, which means it has the fastest charging capability on any Reno phone ever.

To be officially launched early next month, the Reno10 5G comes in Ice Blue and Silvery Gray, while the Reno10 Pro 5G and OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G come in Glossy Purple and Silvery Gray. All are scratch-resistant.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5

Samsung launched the fifth generation of its bestselling foldable Flip and Fold during a global event late last week. And it seems the new models don’t disappoint.

In a release, Samsung says the main screens of both Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 are are equipped with a shock dispersion layer, a redesigned back for a more solid display as well as IPX8 support, Armor Aluminum frames, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus applied to both the Flex Window and back cover, all for enhance protection.

The Flip5’s Flex Window is 3.78 times larger than the previous generation and is more customizable. It features informative and graphical clocks that can match the face design of a user’s Galaxy Watch6 series. When closed, users of the Flip5 can access even more useful information, such check the weather, control music playback and listen to their favorite music with Media Controller, or catch up on the latest global stock market updates with the Google Finance widget through Widgets. You can also view all Widgets at a glance and switch between them instantly with a pinch of the screen to activate Multi Widget View.

Users don’t even have to open the phone tp do things like browse through call history to return missed calls, and reply to texts on-the-go with a full QWERTY keyboard and visibility of chat history.

Selfies are now higher quality thanks to the larger Flex Window, shots are smoother thanks to camera-stabilizing Super Steady, and Auto Framing ensures everybody is in the shot. A digital 10x zoom ensures clear photos even from a long distance, and AI technology improves images shot through the Flip5’s camera.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold5 is the thinnest, lightest and most powerful Fold yet. The S Pen Fold Edition offers better, finer performance since it was first introduced in the Fold3. The

Taskbar has been improved, allowing users to quickly switch between frequently used apps. There’s also an enhanced two-handed drag and drop that allows users to touch and hold an image in Samsung Gallery with one finger and use another finger to open the Samsung Notes app to drag-and-drop the image. 

A neat addition is hidden pop-up, which allows you to, for example, watch video content in full screen and chat with friends in a floating pop-up on the side. Peak brightness in the 7.6-inch main screen has also increased by more than 30 percent, helping users to see clearer even in bright sunlight.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which just means it’s perfect for gamers as it can handle marathon gaming sessions with an advanced cooling system that dissipates heat more intelligently for less lag and no drop in performance.

Best of all, Samsung says its new Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5 phones feature a wider variety of recycled materials than previous generations, including pre-consumer recycled glass and aluminum and post-consumer recycled plastics, sourced from discarded fishing nets, water barrels and PET bottles. The paper used for their packaging box is also made using 100 percent recycled material.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 comes in Mint, Graphite, Cream, and Lavender retails for P64,990 for the 256GB variant, and P71,990 for the 512GB variant. The Galaxy Z Fold5 is available in Icy Blue, Phantom Black, and Cream and is available at P98,990 for the 256GB variant, P105,990 for the 512GB variant, and P119,990 for the 1TB variant.
