The agency likewise announced that no penalties would be incurred for delayed renewal of driver’s licenses or late registration of motor vehicles. The suspension of penalties had been announced by the LTO on March 14, two days before the enhanced community quarantine was implemented across all of Luzon. The validity of all student-driver permits was also extended through the duration of the quarantine.

As physical distancing measures are to be enforced once the LTO reopens branches, and fewer personnel will be manning their counters, the agency added that it is looking into adding to its days of operation.
