Bored & Hungry's OG Pinoy Burger Is Here to Stay
It’s hard to resist a classic cheeseburger—with its soft brioche buns, crispy-edged smashed patty, and creamy slice of cheese. Bored and Hungry took those cravings seriously and launched its own unique Filipino take on the burger: The OG Pinoy Burger, and it’s here to stay.

Like the burgers in their original menu, the OG Pinoy Burger is drippingly juicy at every bite and it’s only made better now with flavors that we Filipinos know and love. Launched in June, the burger takes all the best parts of our favorite silog breakfasts and combines it all in one sandwich.Â
The Bored and Hungry team used locally-sourced ingredients to make a Vigan-longganisa smashed burger patty, a delectably tangy atchara, paired with a sunny side up egg and a banana ketchup aioli between their buns. It’s like your regular burger at first bite but the sweet and sour combo washes over your mouth just as quickly, reminding you of laidback afternoons at your local karinderya. Chase it down with a bottle of Engkanto beer, which you can also find at The Grid Food Market, and you have your perfect meal.
Eating the OG Pinoy Burger is a messy ordeal for sure. But if anything, the burger juices dripping down your hands is a sure sign of a great smash burger.
It’s only been a few months since the world’s first NFT-themed restaurant opened their first Asian outpost at The Grid Food Market and they are eager to please and innovate their menu to suit the Filipino palate.
