Johnoy Danao Performs His Acoustic Hits in Esquire Sessions Live

While everybody’s trying to stay indoors to help “flatten the curve,” artists are continuing to entertain with livestream performances in their homes.
One of these is acoustic troubadour Johnoy Danao, who headlined Esquire’s first Sessions Live on Friday, April 3. The singer-songwriter played an all-original set in his house while plugging several NGOs and causes in the fight against COVID-19. The list of relief groups and operations can be found here.
Danao has been a familiar figure in the country’s independent gig scene for years, first with his band Bridge and then later as a solo acoustic act. In more recent years he has also performed as part of a collective called 3D, with fellow singer-songwriters Ebe Dancel and Bullet Dumas.
Watch his full one-hour set below, and watch out for more musicians in the Esquire Sessions Live music series.
