Cebu Landmasters Marks Expansion with First Bacolod Hotel
On track to push through with its expansion plans, developer Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI) has opened its first-ever hotel outside of Cebu City. Citadines Bacolod City, a 200-room property, is now dubbed the biggest international hotel in the city. The P2-billion project is launched on the back of positive growth in tourism in the Visayas and Mindanao.
“Our hotels are already performing well as of the first quarter of 2024, with a revenue surge of [37 percent] year-on-year," said CLI chairman and CEO Jose Soberano III. “We are expecting our hospitality business to rise, as we now have over 1,700 keys.”

CLI’s expansion to Bacolod adds to its portfolio of three operational hotels, all located in the Queen City of the South. These are Citadines Cebu City with 180 rooms, Lyf Cebu City with 159 rooms, and The Pad Co-Living with 258 rooms. With the new development in Bacolod, the Cebu-based developer expects to reinforce its already growing portfolio.
Citadines Bacolod City is a project of CCLI Premier Hotels—a joint venture between CLI and Capitaine, Inc. In addition to its 200 rooms, the hotel features various amenities, including business lounges, meeting rooms for conferences, and a 1,000-square meter convention center with a ballroom for corporate or social gatherings. It is strategically located along Lacson St. in Barangay Bata, about half an hour away from the Bacolod-Silay Airport, making it easily accessible to tourists.
“Six [more] are to be opened in the next two years. All of these 10 hotels in key areas in VisMin are poised to drive hospitality revenue growth for the company,” Mathias Bergundthal, director of CLI Hotels and Resorts, said.
Among CLI’s projects in the pipeline are Citadines Paragon Davao and Radisson Red—set to open its doors to the public within the year. The rest are Sofitel Cebu City, Abaca Resort Mactan, Mercure Cebu Downtown, and Magspeak Mountain Resort & Villas.
