These Rare Photos of Manuel Quezon Show His Life Beyond Politics

Most of the photographs we've seen of Manuel Quezon show him surrounded by a group of politicians or posing in a stately manner.
History books usually leave out photos of the statesman show him having fun, laughing, or dancing with women.
In one rare photo we came across recently, Quezon is seen weary and scared as he was extracted from the Philippines aboard a submarine during World War II.
In the following photos from the Quezon Family Collection on Flickr, we get a glimpse of Quezon’s life beyond his duties as a politician.
